Pleasure of computer games

Part of the great pleasure, surely, in many games, is that you have purpose. Not only do you know exactly what you are, but you know what you're for. Everything that's computer you is directed towards a single end. And when you reach that end, and the computer tells you you're the winner, it's a little death moment of perfect fulfilment, equally as it's filled with despair, like the last line of a book.
