Description of shows at the Hellfire Club

Reposting some more entries I wrote years ago.
This first one is a description of the one and only time I've been to the Sydney Hellfire Club. This was when it was located in the Icebox on Kellett Street.
I was a lot more innocent back then, and kink was less mainstream.
As I understand it, the shows are fairly representative of what you'd see on any evening there.
The place itself (at least back then) was just like any other nightclub, except for the openness and friendliness of people, the fetish wear, and the demographic (was an older crowd when I went -- there's plenty of under30s in Sydney, but I think people tend not to come out of the fetish closet till they cross that magic number).
Went to a fetish club on Friday. Saw three “shows”.
There were more shows in the evening, but my group left early, probably missing the climax.
Will try to describe what I saw, then try to describe why they were fascinating.
The shows were performed in cramped corners of the cramped dance floor -- they weren’t on stage or anything, and the audience was quite close to the performers.
The theme of the night was dykes, and all the shows were lesbian performances.
Show number 1 -- the main performer was the woman who was originally manning the club door and taking the entry fee.
Doorbitch posed, then danced around, then along came her butch lesbian friend dressed as a guy. Butch friend removes doorbitch’s skirt and underwear -- and, yes, you see everything. There was even a piercing down there. Butch friend played with doorbitch, pulled out some paint, and began painting doorbitch’s nether regions. Doorbitch then removed butch friend’s undergarments, and returned the favours, together with some oral sex.
They did more painting, and finished with a simulated humping that smeared their respective paint on each other.
This was done in time to music, and the music sort of made sense of what was going on, in the same way that music makes sense of dancing.
I found it kind of boring, but hypnotic. Will elaborate later on this point.
A girl I was with met the doorbitch in the toilets afterwards, and said, “Really great show!”, and doorbitch said she was having a lot of fun doing it.
Show number 2 -- a fairly naked woman is tied to a rack. She gets acupuncture needles inserted into her, four into each breast, four along each of her arms, and a couple others around her body. Attached to some of the needles are Christmas decorations, and attached to the breast and arm needles are candles. The candles get lit, the woman takes two large candles in each hand and one in her mouth, and then she drips hot wax on herself.
At this point, her lesbian friend, who's applying the needles, decides to bare her breasts, and the woman drips wax on her friend's breasts and face. They kiss, and it's the end of show 2.
The woman didn't have any pain on her face as the needles were inserted (I suppose acupuncture needles don't hurt that much). But there was blood dripping out of her, in thin streams, once the needles were removed.
Show number 3 -- lesbian dog sled. Two lesbians are stripped down to their g-strings, and attached to a sled (though they don't actually pull it anywhere). They undulate their bodies in suggestive movements, often with their arses in the air. Another lesbian is riding the dogsled, and she whips them, spanks them, plays with them, etc, and sticks the end of the whip up their butts.

Dear Cibby -- boring depends on perspective. I mean, one person might be able to worship a foot for four hours, whereas to other people a foot is a foot.
Sex in general is probably pretty boring as a spectator sport -- repetitive. There's only so many combinations.
One of the tricks to make sex (and fetish shows) interesting is to enter into the "head space" of the participants. Then there's a world of variation.
Dear Ruth, the most out there thing I've heard of from the the Hellfire club was a crucifixion, with a nail gun. But I think most of the shows are pretty tame... pretty much spanking and bondage.
For anyone who's interested in this detail -- there's never any conventional penetrative sex at the HF club. I believe there's some sort of law that prohibits sex in public.
